Excellent finger food for a cocktail party - especially if it outside with a charcoil fire.

- Cut each strip of bacon in half.
- Roll a water chestnut in half a strip of bacon.
- Hold together with a toothpick.
- Grill or broil until the bacon is crisp.
- Serve hot.

Chicken
livers, cut into bite size pieces
Soy sauce
or teriyaki sauce

Port wine
- Marinate water chestnuts in Port wine for 1-2 hours
- Sprinkle chicken livers with soy or teriyaki sauce
- Cut each strip of bacon in half.
- Wrap a piece of chicken liver, together with a slice of water chestnut, in half a strip of bacon.
- Hold together with a toothpick.
- Grill or broil slowly until the bacon is crisp and the chicken liver is cooked.
- Serve hot.
